Bharat Ahir

Bharat is the chief executive officer of 28one. He started his career in International retail and sourcing as a George Clothing buyer for Asda, progressing over 25 years to become the head of global sourcing for Woolworths, a director of Woolworths Group Asia and a group board member of Etam in The Netherlands.

Based with his family in Hong Kong for 16 years, he has supported businesses and developed operations in Bangladesh, China, India, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, The Netherlands, the UK, the USA and Turkey.

Today, delivering cost efficient global sourcing for brands and retailers, that adds value whilst giving back to local communities, are key drivers for Bharat.

James McCallum

James McCallum is the executive chairman of 28one. A career retail professional, he has enjoyed a varied working life in the international arena. He was formerly Head of Asia, Al Futtaim Group, based in Singapore where he managed the acquisitions of both the Robinsons Group and Royal Sporting House.

He was previously retail operations director for Marks and Spencer in the UK and Ireland and then group retail director of Al Futtaim based in Dubai. He has worked at Retail Board Level for 30 years in Paris, New York, London, Dubai and Singapore.

At this stage in his career, James does all he can to avoid doing more gardening.


AC barclay

AC has worked in finance for over 20 years and is our Chief Financial Officer. Initially based in Europe and now having resided in South East Asia for the last 14 years. A Fellow of the ACCA he brings compliance, reporting and transactional support to 28one. 

Previous to 28one he worked in Private Equity and set up plus managed businesses across the world ex-USA. This included tax structuring, due-diligence as acquirer and target and putting together funding packages.  He has retained certain board advisory positions to ensure his deal skills are kept fresh.

Chris has over 20 years of experience, leading commercial functions in blue chip retailers. Chris' passion for sourcing started 20 years ago when he joined OmniSource, the dedicated own-brand division for Dixons Stores Group, as a buyer. Chris held various senior level buying and merchandise planning roles in Tesco before moving out to Hong Kong to lead Tesco's electrical sourcing team in 2011. Chris led multiple general merchandise categories at Home Retail Group Asia before transforming the sourcing operation for Maplin Asia where he was Managing Director and an executive board member.

Chris has a passion for all things tech, strongly believes in ethical trading and in his spare time coaches in the Junior Soccer section of the Hong Kong Football Club.

Mark Luscombe

Mark has more than 28 years of experience covering all core commercial/operational disciplines. Sector coverage includes FMCG, Consumer Health, Pharmaceuticals and Health & Beauty Retail.

Having spent a significant part of his career in Asia Pacific and having served in Senior Executive level roles across Asia Pacific for MNC’s, he has the experience and expertise in maximising plus delivering business opportunities in the region.

Mark has an MBA from Derbyshire Business School and is a Certified Master Coach.

Organisations: Boots Healthcare International, Reckitt Benkiser, SSL International, Merck Consumer Healthcare, Walgreens Boots Alliance.

Countries/markets managed: Japan, China, Korea, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, UK, Russia, Poland.

Eric Seamon

Eric has worked for 25 years in International 3rd party logistics and consulting with a focus on retailers and consumer goods importers buying from Asia. He specialises in designing and implementing origin retail logistics solutions in China.

Eric’s expertise covers logistics operations, product development, regional management and corporate marketing positions in both Asia and North America including four years as the Managing Director of Asia for Pacer International and 3 as president and managing partner of Ubique Logistics holdings and Oceanwide Logistic‎s Asia based in Hong Kong.

Keith Tyler

Keith has spent his career in manufacturing and has been based in Asia for the last 24 years.

Having run factories and progressed to executive board roles; he has been responsible for Quality and Compliance in over 800 factories, in over 20 countries for Woolworths UK, Tesco International Sourcing and Woolworths Australia

Keith's passion is helping suppliers and their factories progress their quality and manufacturing techniques, whilst ensuring they are protecting and improving the lives of their workers.

Teresa Ho

Teresa has over 30 years of work experience, 20 years of which have been in senior Organisation Development and Learning positions. She is an accomplished executive coach to C-level leaders and a non executive advisor to 28one.

What excites her the most is achieving business results through effective management, team and people. She designs end-to-end performance solutions and implements major organisational change projects in-house and for corporate clients. Typically, Teresa partners with CEO/COO/Senior executives and works with their team to drive change, improve organisational performance and build new capabilities. It's all fun!


Pankaj Sharma

Pankaj heads up sourcing and operations in India and has over 20 years of experience working for Office Depot, Reliance Retail, Michael Aram, Lines and Mila.  He has broad category plus operational expertise, specialising in supplier manufacturing processes and supply chain management.

As the son of a naval officer, he attended the Naval Public School in New Delhi, graduated from MDU in Haryana and has an Executive MBA from Vinayaka University.

Regularly travelling with his family across India and the region, he enjoys trying local food plus keeping fit.


orkun darnel

Orkun heads up regional sourcing and operations from Turkey. He has 21 years of experience working for Li & Fung, Nike, Marks and Spencers, Galatasaray SK and managing local franchised Lacoste, Gant USA plus George Tech stores.

Graduating from UMIST with a Clothing Engineering and Management degree, he also has a MBA from Universite de Sorbonne/Galatasaray/Dauphine.

He loves great product, having been responsible for technical and quality regionally for M&S, and is focused on delivering quick response sourcing solutions.

A passionate waterpolo player, he competed as a masters athlete at international level for 20 years and still enjoys the sport in between fun activities with his daughter.


Rezwan Ahsan

Rezwan heads up sourcing and operations in Bangladesh as country director. Over 16 years he has led operations for Charles Voegele and managed supply chain operations for Li & Fung and KarstadtQuelle. 

He graduated from Jahangirnagar University and also has a MBA from Presidency University. Taking an active interest in CSR and quality management, he enjoys working closely with suppliers to help support their development.

Away from work, he loves going on lots of adventures with his daughter.
